Her game helped to crush Switzerland
Hockey player of the national team USA Abby Murphy set a world record.
The forward scored a goal in the Group A match at the 2023 Women’s Ice Hockey World Championship in the game against Switzerland (9:1). For an accurate throw, Abby had seven seconds.
Thus, the American Murphy became the author of the world record, having thrown the fastest puck in the history of the women’s hockey world championships.
It is noteworthy that in the middle of the second period, Abby got the removal before the end of the meeting, and also left her team in the minority for five minutes.
The United States, after two matches, is in first place in Group A, having won two victories.
