Boston installed a new one National Hockey League (NHL) record By number of victories in one regular season.
The Bruins defeated Philadelphia in the next game of the day, having obtained their 63rd victory this season. Boston beat Detroit in 1995/96 and Tampa Bay in 2018/19.
Boston is also close to setting the scoring record. The Bruins have 131 points, coming close to Montreal’s 1976-77 record (132 points). Boston has two more regular season games to play, one of which is against the Canadiens.
Boston leads the Eastern Conference in the NHL. The Bruins next play Washington on April 12.
