Napoli drew and lost to Milan on aggregate
Head coach Napoli Luciano Spalletti believes that his team deserved to win against Milan in the quarterfinals Champions League.
“Congratulations to Milan and also to my players. We had a brilliant Champions League. We approached these matches somewhat emasculated and paid the price for our lack of experience.”
“We played better in both games, but we didn’t manage our chances well enough in their box. Some players came to this game not in the best shape. We could have avoided a conceded goal if the score was tied.”
Napoli drew in the second leg of the 1/4 finals, and were eliminated from the Champions League. In the first match, the Spalletti team lost with a score of 0:1.
Napoli lead Serie A with a 14-point lead over nearest rival Lazio. Spalletti’s next match will be against Juventus on 23 April.
