Five-time winner of the European Ice Dance Championships Ivan Bukin told he hadn’t thought about ending his career during the break and had missed figure skating a lot.
Double Russian champions Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin missed the 2022/23 season. At the end of March, 27-year-old Stepanova gave birth to her first child. As Bukin told on Sunday, his partner has already started full-fledged training.
– How hard was the forced break in your career?
– Not really difficult, I had many projects, I was constantly busy. I had a great year, I met a lot of interesting people. A break in my career is not a minus, it did me good.
How many times have you thought about ending your career in the past year?
– During this year I realized that I care about my job, I like figure skating as a sport. I really missed figure skating. I’m bored, I’m loaded. I can’t wait to talk, to feel those emotions that haven’t visited me for a long time.
– The main objective of the new stage of your career?
