Blue-yellows remain in Division IB
Ukrainian national ice hockey team lost Japan in the final match of the fifth round World Cup 2023 V Division IB.
After the first two periods, the blue-yellows lost with a score of 0:4. The third period brought three abandoned goals to the Ukrainian team, which did not help to get a positive result.
Earlier, the team of Vadim Shakhraychuk defeated Serbia (7:0) and the Netherlands (14:2), beat Estonia (7:4). Also, the Ukrainians lost to China in overtime (4:5).
Ukraine finished second in the division with ten points. The promotion was taken by Japan, who got five victories in five rounds.
