Cameroonian beats Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid recognized MVP of the 2022/23 season in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The Cameroonian scored 915 points in the voting, 73 experts polled put him in first place. The second was the center of Denver Nikola Jokicthird place for the Milwaukee forward Yannis Adetonkumbo.
During the season, Embiid averaged 33.1 points as he won his second consecutive association goalscorer title. The 29-year-old center averaged 10.2 rebounds and made a career-high 4.2 assists per game.
Philadelphia defeated Boston in the first game of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Embiid did not participate in the game due to a knee injury. The next match of the series will take place in Boston on the night of May 4th.
Joel Embiid is the first player to win the Kia NBA MVP Award with the 76ers since Allen Iverson in the 2000-01 season.
