Athletistic/ Others. The president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (VFCG), Irina Viner, expressed her belief that in the future Russia will be able to hold its own alternative Olympics.
Earlier in Moscow, competitions were held for the “Cup of the strongest” according to the rules of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). The tournament brought together gymnasts from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, Moldova, Syria, Slovakia and Uzbekistan.
“I think we will definitely have an alternative Olympics,” Viner said citing Match TV.
At the moment, Russian gymnasts are suspended from international competitions.
Earlier, the IOC announced that Russian athletes could participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris in a neutral status.
