Ancelotti equals Ferguson’s Champions League record

Both have 190 matches in the Champions League

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Anchelotti caught up with former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson by the number of matches played in the Champions League.

The first semi-final against Manchester City was Ancelotti’s 190th Champions League appearance as head coach. So much for Ferguson, who owned the record.

Earlier, Ancelotti denied that he was in talks to work with the Brazilian national team. He has a contract with Real Madrid until 2024. The Italian also won another title with Real Madrid, defeating Osasuna in the final match of the Spanish Cup (2: 1).

The return semi-final match of the Champions League between Manchester City and Real Madrid will be played on May 17.
