Athletistic/ Others. The Gymnastics Ethics Foundation (GEF) Appeal Tribunal has announced that it has accepted the appeal of Russian gymnast Ivan Kulyak, who challenges his one-year ban.
“The Gymnastics Ethics Foundation confirms that Ivan Kulyak has appealed the recent WEF Disciplinary Panel decision,” a spokesperson for the organization said, adding that the WEF would not comment further on Kulyak’s case.
Kulyak was suspended for one year by the WEF Disciplinary Commission for participating in the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup awards ceremony with the letter “Z” on his chest.
