Deontay Wilder fight is too early to talk about, manager says
Egis KlimasWBA, WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight champion manager Alexandra Usyksaid that to talk about a possible fight between the Ukrainian and the ex-world champion Deontay Wilder prematurely.
“Now we have Dubois in front of us, we will hold a press conference. I never thought about moving in the other direction. But if it doesn’t work out this way, then we will choose another route.”
The WBA has already set a promotional bid for the bout between Usyk and Dubois. The event will take place on May 25 in Houston. The minimum bid is one million dollars. At the same time, Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund, and Dubois – 25%.
In case Dubois fails to enter the ring, the Ukrainian champion can fight Martin Bakole or Deontay Wilder. Both boxers expressed a desire to box with Usyk.
