The governor of the Tula Dyumin region opened the first major competitions on the renovated track

Tula Region Governor Alexei Dyumin gave a welcoming speech at the opening of the Tula Grand Prix, the first major tournament after the reconstruction of the velodrome.

Cycling competitions on the Tula track began at the renovated velodrome, which has more than a century of history.

– I want to greet everyone, thank Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin, who is celebrating his birthday today. He helped, within the framework of the project “Sport is the norm of life”, to allocate the funds necessary for the reconstruction of our cycle path. I wish the participants brilliant performances, victories in a friendly atmosphere,” Dyumin said at the opening ceremony.

After the ceremony, Dyumin spoke with the participants of the competition, in particular with the runners of the Marathon-Tula team.

In the Tula Grand Prix, in addition to the Russian team, representatives of the teams of the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Uzbekistan and Belarus participate.
