Usyk will not come to the fight between Lomachenko and Haney

Alexander is engaged in charitable activities

WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO World Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk will not attend the duel between the former world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko and undisputed world lightweight champion Devin Haney.

“Alexander is busy working at the USYK Foundation. The Foundation helps those people who suffered from Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine, were left without a home. It all needs to be organized,” said Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas.

The Lomachenko-Haney fight will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden and will be broadcast on PPV on ESPN+.

More than 13,000 tickets have been sold for the planned duel between Devin and Vasily. At the same time, the central sectors and seats near the ringside were practically bought out: tickets there were sold at prices ranging from 304 to 2,000 dollars.

There are no plans to broadcast the fight in Ukraine yet. The MEGOGO service, which previously broadcast Lomachenko’s fights, and also acts as the official broadcaster of Oleksandr Usyk’s fights, refused to show the Lomachenko-Haney fight.

The referee in the ring will be Harvey Doc from New Jersey. Side judges are Dave Moretti and Tim Cheetham (both from Nevada), as well as David Sutherland (Oklahoma).
