Haney: Fights with Lomachenko and Davis interest me the most

In June, the American became the undisputed world lightweight champion.

Undisputed World Lightweight Champion Devin Haney spoke about his plans for the future. The American would like to fight against Vasily Lomachenko and Gervonts Davis.

“I’m interested in Loma and Tank [Джервонта Дэвис]. These fights interest me the most. But I will fight anyone. I’m a real fighter,” Haney said.

“These fights [с Ломаченко и Дэвисом] I’m most interested, but we can’t always organize them. It’s still a business and I understand that. We just need to see what my team can come up with and see what’s real.”

“If I don’t fight [Камбососом]I don’t think I’m going to fight at lightweight. But we just have to see. If he wants to fight, I’ll probably have to release [один из моих поясов]because he has a rematch clause and I can’t fight another boxer if Kambosos wants to fight. We just have to see what happens next.”

23-year-old Haney became the undisputed lightweight champion of the world after defeating George Kambosos. The American defeated the opponent by unanimous decision of the judges – 116:112, 116:112 and 118:110.

Lomachenko last fought in December last year, defeating Richard Commey. The Ukrainian could fight with Kambosos, but refused it against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In May, Davis defeated Rolando Romero by TKO in the sixth round to retain the WBA (Regular) lightweight title.
