Lomachenko: I want to support my country and my Ukrainian Orthodox Church

The defeated boxer shared his plans for the future.

Vasily Lomachenko missed out on a chance to become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world when he was defeated by Devin Haney.

In the title fight, the judges gave the victory to the American boxer through a unanimous decision with a score of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113.

After the fight, answering a question about plans for the future, Lomachenko said that, first of all, he wants to go home now, while not forgetting to remember his worship of the so-called UOC-MP.

“Now I want to return home, support my country and support my Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” the boxer said.

It was previously reported that Lomachenko could not contain his emotions after the loss from Haney and broke down in tears.
