There are no 2020 Olympic medalists on the list. Then the medals were won by Sofia Pozdnyakova, Sofya Velikaya, Inna Deriglazova, Adelina Zagidullina, Larisa Korobeynikova, Marta Martyanova, Olga Nikitina, Anton Borodachev, Kirill Borodachev, Vladislav Mylnikov and Timur Safin.
Also, the 2016 Olympic champion Yana Yegoryan was not included in the list.
The International Fencing Federation did not allow Russians Pozdnyakova, Yegoryan and Velikaya to compete.
Earlier, Russian Fencing Federation (FFR) chief Ilgar Mammadov said not all eligible athletes would still take part in the competition.
