One of the symbols of Paris will be associated with the symbols of the 2024 Games
Organizers Olympic Games 2024 plan to install olympic fire on one of the main attractions of Paris – eiffel tower.
The capital of France will host the main sporting event of the four years for the third time. The last time Paris was a host was a hundred years before the future Olympics – in 1924.
The mascots of the Games were Phrygian caps, which were called Phrygi. Three meanings are embedded in the official logo of the competition: a gold medal, the symbol of France, Marianne, and the Olympic flame.
Recall, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, opposed the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the 2024 Games. Hidalgo stated that the performance of athletes from aggressor countries, even in a neutral status, is unacceptable while the Russian Federation continues the war.
The opening ceremony of the Paris Games will take place on July 26, 2024. The closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympics will take place on August 11.
