Ukraine in the selection for Euro 2024 will play with Italy

Former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andrey Shevchenko commented on the meeting of the 6th round of selection for European Championship 2024 between Italy And Ukraine.

“Am I satisfied with the match between Ukraine and Italy? A big result for us is that we can put together a team for such a tournament during the war.”

“I am proud of Ukrainian football players. They cover kilometers to give positive emotions to people who are not indifferent to the national team. We must be united and believe in victory.”

In June, the Ukrainian national team will play two more qualifying matches for Euro 2024. The Blue-Yellows will face North Macedonia on June 16 away, and then take on Malta at home on June 19. A new head coach will prepare the national team for the June matches.

Ukraine sits fourth in Group C after losing to England in the opening game of the 2024 UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers. The blue-yellows failed to deliver a single shot on target in England during the match.

The fight against Italy will take place in Milan at the San Siro. The match will take place on September 12, the game starts at 21:45 Kyiv time.
