FIS Congress approves amendment requiring federations to implement harassment prevention policy

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Congress has approved an amendment requiring all national associations to implement a policy against athlete harassment.

The corresponding decision was taken at a meeting of the FIS Congress in Zurich.

“Require all Federations to implement and enforce a policy to prevent harassment and abuse and to promote the welfare of youth and adult athletes,” the new regulations read.

Previously, the FIS only recommended that federations develop measures to protect athletes.
