Elina defeated her opponent in two sets
Former first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina reached the semi-finals of the tournament WTA 250 in French Strasbourg.
In the match of the 1/4 finals, Svitolina defeated the Russian woman Varvara Gracheva, seeded under the sixth number, in two sets. Tennis players spent almost an hour and a half on the court.
In the first set, Elina made two breaks and won 6:3. In the second game, the Ukrainian was stronger with a score of 6:4.
For the entire match, Svitolina converted four out of five breakpoints and made two aces.
In the 1/2 finals, Svitolina will play against the winner of the match Clara Burel (France) – Bernard Pera (USA).
In the first round of the tournament in Strasbourg, Elina beat American Louise Chirico. In the second round, the Ukrainian rival Erin Rautcliff withdrew from the match.
