Athletistic/ Figure Skating. Boris Smolkin, father of Russian figure skater Gleb Smolkin, said his son has no plans to return to his native country from the United States.
Smolkin and partner Diana Davis left for the United States in 2022 and have not competed since.
“Gleb, as before, trains in America. Everything is the same. He won’t go to Russia. Play for another country? I haven’t heard of it,” RIA Novosti quotes Smolkin.
Earlier in the press, there were reports that the Smolkin / Davis duo could represent the United States or Israel. Russian figure skaters are still suspended from international competitions.
