Colombian cyclist Santiago Buitrago of the Bahrain-Victorious team won the 19th stage of the Giro d’Italia stage race.
The length of the stage, which took place on the Langarone – Tre Cime di Lavaredo route, was 183 km. Buitrago covered the distance in 5 hours 28 minutes 7 seconds.
Canadian Derek Gee of Team Israel-Premier Tech took second place, 51 seconds behind the leader, and Dane Magnus Court (EF Education-EasyPost) was third, 1 minute 46 seconds behind.
Briton Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) leads the general classification.
In the next stage of the multi-day race, a race with a separate start with a length of 18.6 km will take place. The Tarvisio-Monte Lussari route will take place on Saturday 27 May.
