Athletistic/Figure Skating. Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva, who is currently touring South Korea, received a copy of her 2022 Olympic gold medal as a gift from a local fan.
The meeting was organized by the athlete’s fan group, which also posted photos from the award ceremony. In addition to the medal, the fan also gave Camila other souvenirs so that she could keep the memory of her trip to this country.
At the 2022 Beijing Olympics, Valieva helped the Russian team win gold in the team tournament. However, the prizes were not awarded due to a positive doping test, which the athlete passed a month and a half before the start of the Games. Valieva was investigated, but thanks to the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, she was still able to participate in the individual tournament. However, due to nervous tension, she could not cope with the free program and took fourth place. Anna Shcherbakova won gold in the individual tournament, and Alexandra Trusova won silver.
