Athletistic/Figure Skating. Tatyana Tarasova, honored coach of the USSR in figure skating, reacted strongly to criticism from Russian MP Roman Teryushkov, who condemned her and coach Alexander Zhulin for supporting the performance of athletes in international competitions.
Tarasova said: “What does he care about us? Let God be his judge. It would be better if he just went about his business and didn’t argue about us. Teryushkov doesn’t understand what our work as coaches and athletes. Let him sit his place and not twitter! The results of our work known throughout the world. Our many victories adorn our homeland!
Zhulin: “I am the coach of three Olympic champions. I am not offended by Teryushkov’s words. Who is he?”
