The finalist of the current draw of Inter guaranteed a place in the top 4 of Italy, leaving the place vacant
Champion of Ukraine will play in the group round Champions League 2023/24. The winner of the current UPL draw will receive a direct ticket to the main part of the tournament.
In the table of association coefficients, Ukraine ranks 12th. The first 10 associations, as well as the winner of the last Champions League draw, receive tickets to the group stage. Since current finalists Manchester City and Inter have guaranteed their Champions League spots through high placement in their respective leagues, the winner’s quota is passed on to the next association in the rankings.
In the table, Russia is in 11th place, but its clubs are suspended from participation due to the war unleashed by the Russian Federation. Thus, the quota passes to Ukraine. The winner of the UPL will play in the group stage, the second place team will start the tournament from the second qualifying round. Recall that two rounds before the end of the Ukrainian championship, Shakhtar is in the lead, Dnipro-1 takes the second place.
Qualifying for the 2023/24 Champions League starts on June 27. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for June 1, 2024.
