The Lions won the title for the 23rd time in history
Galatasaray beat Ankaragucu (4:1) in the match of the 36th round of the Turkish Superleague and ahead of schedule became the winner of the national championship.
The victory for the team of Okan Buruk was brought by Mauro Icardi’s double, as well as goals by Baris Yilmaz and Sergio Oliveira. As part of Ankaragucu, Milson scored.

Galatasaray became Turkish champions for the first time since 2019 and for a record 23rd time in history. Fenerbahce has 19 league titles, Besiktas has 16.
In addition to Icardi and Oliveira, a number of other well-known players have played for Galatasaray this season, including Dries Mertens, Juan Mata, Nicolo Zaniolo, Lucas Torreira and Bafetimbi Gomis.
