Athletistic/Other. World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) President Vitold Banka has expressed his position regarding the possible restoration of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) compliance status with the World Anti-Doping Code. Banka stressed that he still does not believe in the independence of the anti-doping system in Russia.
“RUSADA will be ineligible until he has fulfilled all conditions for reinstatement set by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). We will adhere to the agreed process and continue with verification. However, I must say that our faith in the independence of the anti-doping system in Russia remains very weak,” TASS quoted the WADA chief as saying.
