Deputy of the State Duma Roman Tereshkov told that Ukraine intends to boycott international competitions due to the lack of sports results and the athletes themselves on the territory of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Youth and Sports Minister Vadym Gutzeit earlier announced that local athletes would boycott tournaments allowed for representatives of Russia and Belarus.
“Ukraine has been making the whole world laugh for a long time. The president and his entourage are noticed when, for example, they call the German Chancellor a sausage. I think that Ukraine’s boycott of sporting events is unrelated to the participation of Russian athletes, who are always fighting for the first place. And this is connected with the lack of sports results and athletes on the territory of Ukraine. They use athletes as cannon fodder in the ranks of the Forces Ukrainian armies, and there is no sport on the territory of Ukraine. There are drugs, which their president demonstrates, and nothing else. Therefore, there is no need to talk about the participation of Ukrainian athletes in international competitions, because there are simply no athletes, Teryushkov told .
