The Ukrainian national swimming team has announced the squad for the World Championships in Budapest

The national team will be represented by ten athletes

Swimming team of Ukraine announced the line-up for World Aquatics Championship in Budapest. In Hungary, the national team will be represented by ten athletes.

  • Men: Mikhail Romanchuk, Andrey Govorov, Vladislav Bukhov, Denis Kesil, Vladimir Lisovets, Vadim Naumenko, Maxim Ovchinnikov, Sergey Shevtsov, Alexander Zheltyakov;
  • Women: Kamila Isaeva.

Note that Romanchuk will also take part in open water competitions. In May, for the first time in his career, Mikhail won a medal in the open water swim, becoming the silver medalist of the Spanish Championship.

The FINA World Championships will take place in Budapest from 18 June to 3 July. Swimming competitions are scheduled for June 18-25.

It should be noted that athletes from Russia and Belarus were suspended from participation in the World Championships in Budapest due to the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.
