Athletistic/ Others. Deputy Head of the Sports Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Burlakov commented on Ukrainian Minister of Youth and Sports Vadim Gutsait’s statement that Ukrainian athletes will boycott competitions that allow Russian athletes .
“How will he carry out his loud statement? Ukrainians will not come to competitions where Russian athletes will be present? Something I highly doubt that Ukrainian athletes will support such a move. Most likely, the statement of the Minister of Sports was sent to representatives of international organizations”, – noted Burlakov, adding that the goal of Gutzeit was to increase the negative of the European community in relation to Russian athletes.
