Kalitvintsev: All the players stay in Polissya. To let someone go, you need to find gain

From June 17, the club begins preparations for the Premier League

Polissya head coach Yuri Kalitvintsev spoke about the preparation of the team for the performance in the Premier League and the possible strengthening of the team for the new season.

“We were interested in legionnaires – Chijoke Aniagboso and Moses Jarju – even before Maximov appeared in the club. Followed these players when they played in the African Cup. These are young promising players, whom we will be glad to see in the club. They receive significant workloads at the U-20 World Cup. Moses even has a microtrauma. At the U-20 World Cup, they saw that they made the right decision when they signed these players.”

“I am a supporter of evolution, not revolution. I do not want to change anything globally, but there will be point gains. It is important that the newcomer is head and shoulders above the players that are on the team. Polissya has healthy competition, so the players must keep the bar high and not stop developing.”

“So far, all the players remain in Polissya. We have come a difficult way, but managed to save all the players. The guys from beginning to end went this way with the exception of one or two players. To let someone go, you need to find reinforcement. In this matter, we will move gradually. Also, all coaches remain in our club.”

“The club is working on different options for training camps. From June 17, the guys come out of vacation. There is not much time before the start of the new season, so you need to work intensively. We are preparing for a difficult job, but we know what we are working for. There is no problem with motivation.

Polissya became the winner of the First League in the current draw. In the 2023/24 season, the Zhytomyr team will play in the Premier League.
