Athletistic/ Others. Ukrainian Minister of Youth and Sports Vadim Gutzeit issued a statement in which he mentioned that Ukrainian athletes will in any way prevent the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions.
“Athletes from these countries cannot participate in international competitions under their own flag or under neutral flags… If athletes from the Russian Federation and Belarus are allowed to participate in competitions, Ukrainian athletes are ready to block their performance and boycott these competitions,” Gutzeit said.
Currently, in most sports, athletes from Russia and Belarus are suspended from participating in international competitions.
