Football player to undergo medical examination in Brazil today
Shakhtar winger David Neres will sign a five-year contract with Benfica.
According to journalist Bruno Andrade, today the player will undergo a medical examination in Brazil.
The deal between Shakhtar and Benfica provides for the Portuguese club to waive the debt that the Pitmen have to the Eagles for last year’s transfer of Pedrinho.
Neres joined Shakhtar in January and missed his debut for Roberto De Zerbi’s team due to the full-scale Russian invasion in February.
After the start of the invasion, midfielder Alan Patrick and striker Fernando left Shakhtar, who signed contracts with Intercional and Salzburg respectively.
The Pitmen took first place in the Ukrainian Championship table and will play in the group stage of the next Champions League.
