The 2022/23 Grand Prix of Figure Skating stage, which the ISU took away from Russia, will be moved to Finland, writes American journalist Philip Hersh on his Twitter.
In April, the International Skating Union (ISU) Council decided not to include the Russian leg of the Grand Prix of Figure Skating in the calendar for the 2022/23 season. Also, one of the stages will not take place in China due to covid restrictions.
– I heard today that the ISU will announce the locations of the Grand Prix stages on June 30. There is still no news on where the Chinese stage will be moved. The Russian stage will take place in Finland, according to my sources, writes Hersh.
The Russian leg was scheduled for November 25-27. Officially, the new venue for the competition has not been announced.
