Ukrainian tennis players Angelina Kalinina And Daria Snigur successfully overcame the first round of the WTA 250 tournament in Nottingham.
Kalinina defeated Spaniard Nuria Parrisas Diaz in straight sets. In the first game, Angelina lost three times with a break, but managed to win four games in a row and take the set. In the second game, the first racket of Ukraine created a comfortable advantage from the very beginning and brought the match to victory.
Snigur knocked out the tenth racket of the world, Beatriz Haddad Maia. In the first set, the Ukrainian had one break to succeed. In the second set, Daria took four submissions from her opponent, losing two of her own.
Recall that Snigur lost in the final qualification of the tournament in Nottingham. Daria entered the main draw as a lucky loser, replacing another Ukrainian Lesya Tsurenko, who decided to take some extra rest and focus on recovering from her illness.
