The club today retained a residence permit in the UPL
Rivne head coach Veresa Yuri Wirth announced his departure from the club. The change of the head coach was also confirmed in the press center of Veres.
“Decisions are with the coaching staff, as are mine – we are leaving Veres. Until we go nowhere. Now there are no proposals and there could not be any: no one knew that we had agreed with the president that I was leaving. That’s why it’s all hearsay. And from today, if everyone already knows, we can all talk. Wait and see”.
“I want to thank everyone. The main thing for all of us is victory. The main victory is in the war,” the coach said at a press conference after the game with Metalurh in the UPL playoffs.
Wirth took charge of Veres in 2019 and lifted the team from the Second League to the Premier League. Prior to that, the mentor worked in the youth team of the Donetsk Metallurgist, Kamensk Stal and Rukh.
In the last round of UPL 2022/23, Veres defeated Inhulets (1:0). The club finished the season in the knockout play-off zone.
In transitional matches for the right to play in the UPL next season, Veres won Metalurh Zaporozhye on aggregate (0:1, 6:1).
