Head coach of the Russian diving team Svetlana Moiseeva spoke about the influence and authority of Alexander Bondar and Evgeny Kuznetsov, who are followed by the younger generation of athletes.
– We can say that Bondar and Kuznetsov are like fathers for the younger generation. They behave in a paternal way with the younger generation and young people are attracted to them. Not only in their friendly relations, but in purely professional ones. They advise each other, pull each other up. It is important for young people that these athletes are like older brothers to them,” Moiseeva told Metaratings.ru.
Bondar, 29, is the 2020 Olympic Games bronze medalist, as well as a multiple World and European Championship medalist. Kuznetsov, 33, is an Olympic silver medalist in 2012, world champion and 13-time European champion.
