General Director of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) Alexander Kogan said that the FFKKR is fighting to maintain the maximum quotas for the national team to participate in international tournaments.
– We are fighting so that when Russian athletes return to international tournaments, our quotas will be preserved, since we missed the World Cup not of our own free will, but by decision of the ISU Board of Directors , which was challenged in the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). We have sent a letter about this to the ISU. The issue is under discussion, – RIA Novosti Sport quotes Kogan.
In March, due to the situation in Ukraine, Russian athletes were suspended from participating in international competitions under the auspices of the International Skating Union (ISU) until further notice.
