Olga will perform at the European Championship and will fight for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people
Legendary Ukrainian saber fencer Olga Harlan commented on the upcoming European Fencing Championship, which will be held in Antalya.
“We have no options but to fight. If we understand that we start from scratch and go up, everything will work out. We have nothing to lose.”
“There is an opportunity to train normally – it is very emotionally charged. There are two starts ahead – the European and World Championships. And then the new season will begin, and we will approach it with renewed vigor. We still have time.”
“Now is the hardest time for me. For our team, for every Ukrainian athlete, for every Ukrainian. But we try to find a ray of light in the dark. Because we are — we are fighters!”
Harlan is a six-time World Champion and an eight-time European Champion. Also, the saber fencer became the winner of the Olympic Games four times.
The European Fencing Championship in Antalya, Turkey will begin today, June 17, and will last until June 22. Within six days, 12 sets of medals will be played.
