Team relocation options being considered
Mariupol Yarud plans to play in the new season of the championship of Ukraine, as it became known sport arena.
The club is considering various options for a temporary base in other cities and plans to perform in Mariupol after its release from Russian occupation.
In the 2021-22 season, Yarud played in Group B of the Second League and, after 20 games played, was in 11th place in the standings.
Against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion, the last season in the Ukrainian championship was completed ahead of schedule.
It is expected that the club of the same name from Mariupol will not play in the next season of the championship of Ukraine due to the destruction of the club infrastructure by the invaders.
Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to resume sports competitions in the country under martial law.
