Alvarez’s team set conditions for rehydration and a significant reduction in the weight limit
WBC cruiserweight champion badu jack declared that he would not fight with the undisputed world champion in the super middleweight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
“My next fight will not be with Canelo. His team said the weight difference was too big. They wanted to exhaust the old man and fight me for the title 20 pounds below the cruiserweight limit. Plus a rehydration clause,” Jack wrote on social media.
It was previously reported that Canelo was considering Jack as a potential next opponent. Another possible candidate is WBC middleweight title holder Jermall Charlo.
In his last fight, Jack defeated Ilunga Makaba via TKO in the 12th round in February. The 39-year-old Swedish boxer won the WBC cruiserweight belt.
