Coach Veres assured that the team will live
Main coach Veresa Yuri Wirth spoke about the financial possibilities of the club and work on the transfer market. The mentor hopes that the team will be able to strengthen before the start of the new season.
“We have 13 players running out of contracts. We have already agreed with the majority, but have not signed yet. Therefore, there will be changes, but I cannot say that they are cardinal. I would like to strengthen, but everything is not so simple, because now it is very difficult to negotiate, ”said Wirth.
“Now is such a period that we don’t even have enough players, because our financial resources will be small. But we hope that we will be completed and we will set the task to perform better than in the last championship.”
“The team will definitely live. Of course, under martial law, financial opportunities will not be as we would like. But, God forbid, as soon as we get out of martial law, the president said that the contracts would be revised upwards. Therefore, God forbid that we end this war with victory. Believe that Veres will live, prosper, and I hope that we will build a team that should please our fans.”
Earlier, Wirth said in an interview with Sport Arena that Veres will start preparing for the new season on July 4 and will hold three training camps. The club wants to play friendly matches in Lvov and Kyiv.
Virta’s team finished last season in ninth place in the standings of the Ukrainian championship. The start of the new UPL season is tentatively scheduled for August 20.
