Ukrainian lost in the final to 17-year-old India from the Netherlands
Ukrainian Anna Stefani Ponomarenko won a silver medal in the breakdancing on European Games 2023.
Stefani in the semi-finals defeated Dominika Nicka Banevich from Lithuania, whom she lost to in May in the final of the European Championship. In the decisive match, the Ukrainian lost to 17-year-old India from the Netherlands.
Recall that breakdancing will be included in the program of the Olympic Games in 2024 for the first time. Ponomarenko was unable to win a ticket to the Olympics – the winner of the European Games received the only license in the current competitions. World champions will receive automatic admission to the Games in Paris. The remaining seven places each for men and women will be contested in the qualifying series in 2024.
The Ukrainian national team won 34 medals of various denominations at the current competitions. Among them – 17 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze awards.
