Miner will host a charity match with Tottenham in London.

On August 6, the Pitmen will play Spurs at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. All funds raised will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians who suffered during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

It is noted that the management of Shakhtar addressed the UPL with an official request to postpone the game of the 2nd round of the 2023/24 season to August 2 due to a charity match against Tottenham.

Recall that on August 5, London will host another charity match in support of Ukraine. Its goal is to raise funds for the restoration of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubyn Lyceum in the Chernihiv region, which was destroyed by the occupiers in March 2022.

Alexander Zinchenko and Andriy Shevchenko will become the captains of the participating teams. More than 20 legendary players have already confirmed their participation in the game at Stamford Bridge, including Fabio Cannavaro, Jens Lehmann and Clarence Seedorf.

In the early hours of February 24, 2022, Russia launched rocket and air strikes on most Ukrainian cities and then launched a full-scale military invasion. The war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has been going on for the 490th day.
