Olympic cross-country skiing champion Alexander Legkov told how the charity football match took place in Kazan, in which famous athletes took part.
The match was played by the Fight Nights media team, which included former Spartak striker and Russian national team striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, former Rubin goalkeeper Alexander Filtsov. The team is owned by promoter Kamil Hajiyev. Fight Nights’ rivals were the team, consisting mostly of hockey players, as the organizer of the event was former Ak Bars striker Alexander Burmistrov. In addition to hockey players, Legkov, Rubin’s coach Oleg Kuzmin and former tennis player Anastasia Myskina played in the match.
– The sensations are great, they ended up with an excellent composition: hockey players, football players. An ideal evening with a good outcome, because thanks to the event we were able to help the children, that’s the main thing. And the vacation was successful, and it brought benefits.
– Roman Pavlyuchenko said that your team led them …
– I think on the contrary, in terms of football and combinations, they were better. They had a problem with the implementation. And the moments were equally shared between one and the other team.
Is Pavlyuchenko himself still in good standing?
– When you play not with professionals, but with ordinary guys, you yourself begin to match their level. But, if Roma had had a one hundred percent moment, no doubt he would have achieved it,” Legkov told .
The main time of the match ended with the score 1:1. In the penalty shootout, the Fight Nights team proved to be stronger.
