Athletistic/Figure Skating. The International Skating Union (ISU) did not include Russian skaters in the list of participants for the Grand Prix series in the 2023/24 season.
The organisation’s official website states that “The ISU Council will continue to monitor the situation in Ukraine and its impact on the activities of the ISU, as well as the decisions and their implementation within the framework of the Olympic Movement. At the same time, the previous decision remains in force.”
On June 11, a meeting of the ISU Council took place in Budapest, during which the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the admission of Russian athletes as neutral participants in the competition were discussed . As a result, the ISU upheld the earlier decision to ban the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international tournaments.
