Four football players escaped from the national team of Cuba after the match against Guatemala

Three of them represent the national championship, one plays in Costa Rica

Le Havana midfielder Roberni Cavaliero, 27, and Carmelita midfielder Denilson Melita, 27, also left the national team.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup kicked off on 24 June. 16 teams divided into four quartets take part in the tournament. Matches are held in 14 cities in Canada and the United States. The tournament itself will end on July 16.

The Cuban national team plays in group D with the teams of Guatemala, Guadeloupe and Canada. After the first round of the Cup takes the last place in the quartet. Guatemala is leading with three points, Canada and Guadeloupe have one point each.
