Such a proposal was born from the initiative of the sports unions and was supported by the management of the National Sports Agency. The government has also banned its athletes from competing in Russia.
Earlier it was reported that former Czech national team and NHL club hockey goalie Dominik Hasek will address members of the European Parliament in July with a proposal to exclude the Russians and Belarusians from sports competitions.
