Karpaty began preparations for the new season
Head coach Karpat Miron Markevich talked about preparing the team for the new season. The mentor invited the players to play attacking football.
“The team has replenished with new players. We will tell you about the changes in the composition later. These players arrived in different conditions. Someone is not in the best shape, everyone has objective reasons. We need to bring the team into optimal physical condition. Therefore, we are now going to a two-week training camp in Uzhgorod, where we will pull everything up, ”said Markevich.
“We want to put in order the physical condition of the players. Because they are not the best right now. The team started the training process just a week ago, we gave them such loads that they frankly said that they had never worked in such a mode. We offered them attacking football – to play forward at speed. This requires a lot of energy. Therefore, physical training comes first. In addition, the process of playing the composition. Now we will play with two different squads, and closer to the championship we will decide who will deserve a place in the starting line-up.”
At the end of the season, Karpaty took fifth place in the championship group of the First League-2022/23. After not entering the UPL, Andriy Tlumak resigned.
