Kolesnikov and Chikunova, 18, won gold medals on the second day of the Russian Swimming Cup

olympic medalist Kliment Kolesnikov won the 50m backstroke at the second stage of the Russian Swimming Cup, which takes place in Obninsk.

Kolesnikov clocked 24.77 seconds, ahead of Miron Lifintsev (24.90) and Pavel Samusenko (24.93).

European Champion in short course 18 years old Evgenia Chikunova became the first at a distance of 200 meters breaststroke (2:24.44), the second and third became Irina Shvaeva (2:27.69) and Vitalina Simonova (2:31.81).

Roman Shevyakov excelled in the 100-meter butterfly (52.55), Petr Zhikharev (52.70) took second place and Pavel Samusenko (52.81) took third place.

Among women in this discipline, she won the gold medal Svetlana Chimrova (58.17), silver went to Daria Klepikova (59.51), bronze went to Arina Kerzheneva (1:02.36).

But in the men’s 200m freestyle, the top three winners were Ivan Girev (1.48.17), Alexey Rtishchev (1.49.40) and Daniil Kosenkov (1.49.90), in women – Anastasia Saratova (2.00.82), Daria Ustinova (2.01.16) and Daria Mullakaeva (2.01.20).

The men’s 200m breaststroke was won by Alexei Sudarev (2:14.50), ahead of Daniil Pisetsky (2:15.10) and Ivan Kozhakin (2:15.92).

In the women’s 50m backstroke, Vlada Eggi finished first (28.39), followed by Maria Kameneva (28.64) and Elizaveta Agapitova (29.12).

Alexander Stepanov set the fastest time in the 800m freestyle (8:08.15). The second was Alexander Egorov (8:08.92), the third – Gleb Buslaev (8:23.70).

At a distance of 400 meters in a men’s complex, awards were played Ilya Borodin (4:18.02), Eduard Valiakhmetov (4:22.95), Maxim Stupin (4:24.46), in women – Daria Rogozhinova (4:52.06), Yana Popova (4:54.64) and Anna Chernysheva (4:55.05).

Lali Pankratova won the 1500m freestyle (17:06.17), followed by Maria Basmanova (17:47.49) and Polina Kruglik (17:48.59) completing the top three.
