Rookie Ukrainian Premier League LNZ announced the transfer of ex-captain Ingulets Maxim Kovalev. Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Earlier, Sport Arena reported about the desire of the Cherkasy club to sign an experienced central defender.
34-year-old Kovalev has been playing for Ingulets since 2018. In the 2022/2023 season, the defender played 24 matches for Ingulets, in which he scored three goals.
In June, LNZ signed forward Metalist Maxim Pryadun. Also, winger Gennady Pasich became a new player of the team.
In the 2022/2023 season, LNZ took the final third place in the Championship group of the First League, and in the aggregate of two playoff matches for the right to play in the UPL, they beat Ingulets.
The team has already begun preparations for the new season. The base date for the start of the new draw of the Ukrainian Premier League is July 29.
